It’s been 4 years since we first improved our 3-burner cooktop offered in our teardrop trailer by mounting it inside a beautiful riveted aluminum tray rather than our earlier wood tray. Last year we took another big step forward by replacing the Dometic 3-burner cooktop that we had used for years with a new offering from Furrion. The Furrion 3-burner stainless steel cooktop features 3 separate cast iron grates, completely sealed burners (like on a Viking Stove), and push-button lighting. The burners on the Furrion put out 7,500 Btus vs. the 5,500 Btus that the previous Dometic cooktop put out. It also sports a huge cooktop area and can support a long griddle across all 3 burners. We added a leather pull to the front and the 16” x 25” custom wood cover is the perfect work surface for dinnertime meal prep or for assembling a quick sandwich for lunch when you’re on the road in your teardrop trailer.
