We are often asked if a High Camp teardrop camper is offroad capable. Find more detailed info about this in our FAQ section, but with a fully welded steel tube frame, 2,500-pound rated torsion axle and standard 12” ground clearance, a High Camp trailer is well suited for handling rough gravel roads, dirt tracks, or picking its way through rocky mountain terrain.
Occasionally, customers need some additional ground clearance, or a Lock ‘N’ Roll articulating hitch, or want to match trailer tires to their tow vehicles, or even match their Jeep’s fender style.
In this case, our customer wanted all four! This offroad-ready teardrop trailer features:
15” of ground clearance via a 3” lift kit,
Lock ‘N’ Roll fully articulating hitch,
Aggressive Falken Wildpeak 265/75R16 AT tires, and
14-gauge steel Jeep-style fenders to mimic the Jeep’s fender flares.
